Marc Coles, CEO

Marc Coles is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and the founder of Ridgeback; he moved to Israel in 1982 in pursuit of his life-long dream.  Marc’s professional career spans more than 25 years as a senior executive in Israeli industry having served as general counsel for Israel's second largest NASDAQ-traded pharmaceutical company and two medical device companies.

Marc completed his undergraduate degree at Miami University, his law degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Law and his executive MBA from a joint program of the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and the Recanati Business School of Tel Aviv University.

He lives in Nordia, Israel, is married and has three children. Marc is a passionate photographer and gardener and owns an elegant Rhodesian Ridgeback named Chloe.


Dr. Uri Lev, Senior Vice President, Business Development

Uri Lev is a native Israeli who has worked for over 30 years in the Israel life science industry.  He has extensive experience and expertise in sales & marketing with multi-national companies in the United States, Europe and Israel where he served as an executive manager for leading organizations including Baxter-Travenol, Becton & Dickinson and Pharmacia. 

Uri also has a background in technology transfer having worked for Ramot at Tel Aviv University; he also served as the head of marketing and new business development for Israel's largest life science contract development company. 

Uri holds a BSc. in biology, an MSc. in microbiology and a Ph.D. in natural health sciences. He lives in Ness Ziona, Israel, is married and is the father of four.


Devorah Avni-Fuchs, Vice President, Marketing and Media

Devorah Avni-Fuchs was born in the United States and moved to Israel as a young child. During her professional career Devorah has focused exclusively on business & economic development, actively fostering connections between the Israeli and American business communities.

Devorah previously served as the Director of Business Development for the New York State office in Israel and as the Director of the International Relations Division of the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce. 

She brings 15 years of international, multi-disciplined experience and extensive personal connections in the Israeli business arena as well as with government, business organizations and major institutions involved in the development of Israel's external relations.

Devorah is highly proficient in initiating and fostering a global network of connections, hosting professional conferences, organizing business delegations, making effective business presentations, arranging economic events in Israel and abroad and in the use of social/digital media and public relations.

She earned her MBA in marketing from Heriot Watt University and a BA in communications from Bar-Ilan University. Devorah lives in Rehovot, Israel with her husband and three children.
